(POST 25) - Feedback from Audience Research

With our audience research video we tried to aim our research at the target audience therefore we found the balance of using two people outside the target audience and three people within the target audience. For the two people that are outside the target audience we went into the town center and spoke to two random people and asked them questions that have already been out on my blog. From doing this we found out that the main way for people of the older generation go to the cinema roughly once a month therefore this shows us that the cinema is more for younger people. Also we found out that the way they consume music videos is normally at home whilst watching TV or on a mobile phone. The platforms they consume on is usually things such as music channels on TV or YouTube and they find out about the release on social media on the rare occasion. From the younger people we found out that they prefer to find out about the release of music through social media and the main platform they consume music videos on is YouTube, therefore this shows us that the best place for us to upload our music video is YouTube in order to aim it towards are target audience and get the most views we can get. Also they go to the cinema two to three times a month therefore we would put our work into the cinema if we could however with a music video the best way to do it would be through possibly putting on the adverts. Overall we will just make sure our work goes on the platforms that the younger age have said they use more often so we can get more publicity for our work.
