(POST 33) - Planning - Editing

Images of annotated script/stage directions/plot showing where you envisage longer and
shorter takes, to establish emotion and/or generate pace, action, intensity.

For the first part which involves the Wymondham Abbey
section we will be making these shots shorter shots to
have more variation in camera shots and angles. The shot
where Aaron walks towards the Wymondham Abbey Train
Station that will be a longer shot to show the emotional long
shot to the bench where he will sit down and look down to
show a lot of emotions including feeling alone. The wymondham
church part of the music video will be longer because we plan on aiming the camera at the top of
the church and then panning down to the bottom where Aaron will be sitting which will be a longer
shot to show the intensity in how the character is feeling. Also for this part it'll be were he sets light
to the photo so the pace will be slow to show the emotions going through him which will be a slow
shot for more effect. The final part at the train station we plan on using shorter shots until the final
shot where Aaron will be looking over the train track were we want to create a reflection effect were
there will be two of Aaron in one shot looking over both sides of the train track.

Images of script where transitions between scenes and shots occur and the style of transitions
you are looking to use.

In the script shown above you can see that there are three major locations underlined therefore there
will be the major transitions when the location changes because the scenery is all different to one another. The smaller transitions will be in the same locations where there will be different angles
to create more variation of camera shots and angles to make the music video more creative and less boring to watch. In the video we will look to add in transition effects such as a cut, fade or some other
digital effects in order to set the scene more and make the video look more professional.

Show an understanding of narrative (perhaps embed a video from YouTube explaining it)
and explain how your works in either a linear or non-linear way

Here is a video explaining what the difference is between linear and non linear narrative:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2euxL1z4dY

Linear Narrative:
The order in which events are portrayed corresponds to the order in which they occur. Stories told using this narrative structure will have a clear beginning, middle and end. They might begin with a description of the setting, have events leading up to a climax and end with a resolution in which all the problems that arose during the narrative are either resolved or accepted.

Non-Linear Narrative:
Nonlinear narratives are often used to place audiences in the minds of characters who have unusual ways of thinking or whose ability to process information is impaired. The story is told in reverse chronological order to allow audiences to see its events the way he does.

With the meanings of both types of narrative shown above I think for our music video we will be using more off a mix of the two because in a music video you can mix and match different clips
together to create more variation of locations. Therefore we have no typical beginning, middle and
end story line but the order isn't in reverse either therefore we are using more of a mix. From this I can see that we are using events leading up to more climax which will be events leading up to the
main chorus therefore we will have this included but there will be no traditional start and end to it.

Any theoretical effects, such as Kuleshov effect of editing that could be involved in the
sequences and whereabouts and to what success

We don't plan on using any theoretical effects because we want to have our own element of editing
used to have a more unique and make it more our own work.
